Each year, Leadership Lake County graduates nominate deserving individuals to receive the prestigious Leadership Lake County Leader of the Year Award. These people exemplify community leadership and contribute their time and talents for the benefit of others in the community. The first quarter real estate statistics show the further normalization of the market as we work our way through the general slump in the economy. Employment declined in Lake County by 3,207 jobs in January and February, increasing the average monthly unemployment rate from 5% in the fourth quarter to 6.1% for the first two months of '08.
