Leadership Lake County, Inc. is a community leadership program by local leaders designed to identify and develop through training the leadership potential in our county. Individuals with diverse backgrounds who have demonstrated the ability to assume leadership roles are selected to participate. Also included are individuals who have distinquished themselves as leaders in our community. It is expected that through this program, the participants will develop an awareness of the dynamics of socio-economic changes and how they impact our community. More...

Paiensville City Recieves $2 Million For Hospital

The City of Painesville received notice on November 20th, 2009 at a Clean Ohio Council Hearing that they were the recipients of a $2 Million dollar grant for the demolition and remediation of the former Lake East Hospital building. City Manager Rita C. McMahon presented to the Council stating that "the project is a collaborative regional approach to revitalizing Painesville's economy by creating a critical mass of people who live in the downtown, supporting its businesses and amenities, while helping it to become a vibrant and enduring place. State Senator Tim Grendell also attending the meeting in support of the project. In a letter sent to the Council he stated "The city has been proactive in determining its future and anticipating the impacts a vacant building in the heart of the community will have."
