Geek Squad @ MPL

Representatives from Best Buy will be at our Main Library on Monday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. to demonstrate how to go wireless and go digital. PC wireless connectivity, digital tv transition, and transferring your music from your PC to your ipod and back will all be discussed. Leadership Lake County honors two for their work.

Each year, Leadership Lake County graduates nominate deserving individuals to receive the prestigious Leadership Lake County Leader of the Year Award. These people exemplify community leadership and contribute their time and talents for the benefit of others in the community. This year Leadership Lake County has announced that the 'team' of Judie and David Crockett have been named the 2007-2008 Leaders of the Year.

1st Quarter Real Estate Statistics for Lake County

The first quarter real estate statistics show the further normalization of the market as we work our way through the general slump in the economy. (The Market Report for the entire Greater Cleveland area including Lake County is attached to this posting). Employment declined in Lake County by 3,207 jobs in January and February, increasing the average monthly unemployment rate from 5% in the fourth quarter to 6.1% for the first two months of '08. Despite the job losses, the job situation remains strong in Lake County. Combined with historically low mortgage interest rates, robust employment will help to build up the demand for housing.
